Mário F. S. Ferreira is a Professor at the Physics Department of Aveiro University, Portugal. Between 1990 and 1991 he was at the University of Essex, UK, performing experimental work on external cavity semiconductor lasers and nonlinear optical fiber amplifiers. His research interests have been concerned with the modelling and characterization of multi-section semiconductor lasers for coherent systems, quantum well lasers, optical fiber amplifiers and lasers, optical sensors, soliton propagation, polarization and nonlinear effects in optical fibers. He has been the leader of the Optics and Optoelectronics Group of the I3N – Institute of Nanostructures, Nanomodelling and Nanofabrication. He is a Fellow and a Travelling Lecturer of both OPTICA (Optical Society of America) and SPIE - The International Society for Optics and Photonics, and a Member of IEEE. He served in various committees of OSA/OPTICA and of SPIE, as well as in the organizing and scientific committees of various international conferences. Actually, he serves also as an Associate Editor or as an Advisor Board Member of several international journals in the area of optics and photonics.

Jiaxin Cai is currently an associate professor in the School of Mathematics and Statistics at Xiamen University of Technology. He received his Ph.D. degree in Information and Computation Science from Sun Yat-Sen University in 2014. He also received his M.S. degree and B.Sc. degree in Bio-medical Engineering from Southern Medical University in 2011 and 2008 respectively. He has authored over 40 peer-reviewed papers at academic journals and conferences. His current research interests include machine learning, computer vision and bio-medical engineering.

Prof. Yanhua Luo (IEEE/Optica/SPIE Senior Member) received his B.E and PhD degrees from University of Science and Technology of China (UTSC) in 2004 and 2009, respectively. He used to work at the Photonics and Optical Communications at University of New South Wales (UNSW) after his postdoctoral work at USTC. In 2022, he relocated from UNSW to Shanghai University (SHU). Currently, he works as a professor of School of Communication and Information Engineering at SHU to develop the next generation functional specialty optical fibers and their devices. So far, he has published over 160 SCI papers in high-level academic journals, e.g., Applied Physics Reviews, Lab on a Chip and Journal of Lightwave Technology. He serves as the chief editor of the English monograph ‘Bismuth-Fundamentals and Optoelectronic Applications’ (ISBN: 978-1-83968-242-1) and the section editor of ‘Optical Fiber Device Measurement’ in ‘Handbook of Optical Fibers’ (ISBN: 978-981-10-7085-3, by Springer). He has also authored or co-authored 11 chapters for English monographs. He was invited to write 5 review papers for Applied Physics Reviews, Frontiers of Optoelectronics (FOE), etc., give over 10 invited talks and serve as a member of the editorial board of Biosensors (Impact factor: 5.4). The related outcomes have been reported by more than a dozen of notable media, e.g., Science Daily and Design News. In 2019, Technology Magazine remarked 3D printed silica optical fiber (SOF) as ‘The top three 3D printing breakthroughs of 2019’

Professor Songül Fiat Varol is working in Manisa Celal Bayar University in Electric and Energy department. Her main research interests have been materials science especially technology of semiconductor materials and devices including solar cells, light emitting diodes (LEDs/OLEDs). She has published more than 30 scientific papers in this field in the internationally recognized journals. She has supervised 1 Ph.D. and 5 M.Sc. studies. She has coordinated many national/ international projects and joined more than 40 international scientific conferences and meetings as invited speaker/speaker/organising committee member. In 2010, she conducted various researches on Chalcopyrite Solar Cells with Professor Michael Kompitsas (Director of Research Theoretical and Physical Chemistry Institute -National Hellenic Research Foundation)and his team in Laser-based Techniques and Applications - LATA in Greece through the “Tubitak 2214 International Research Fellowship Programme for PhD Students”. She has published in high-ranking SCI-expanded journals on the production and characterization of many organic/inorganic-based thin-film materials that are the most trending in science like ZnO, TiO2, CuInGaSeTe, Nitrides (GaN, AlN) etc. She still continues her research on Organic/Inorganic LED and PV device production and improvement of their properties.

Prof. Ahmed Bendahmane received the PhD degree in 2013 in Computer Sciences from Abdelmalek Essaadi Tetuan, Morocco. He has been a professor of Computer Sciences in Abdelmalek Essaadi University since 2016 and past head of IT service of Abdelmalek Essaadi University, Tetuan, Morocco (2003-2016). His main research interests include distributed systems, IoT, Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, security of grid and cloud computing systems, Intrusion Detection and Tolerance, Blockchain and Smart Systems. He is the author and co-author of several papers covering these and other topics which appeared in refereed specialized journals and international conference. He is a member of the IEEE.

Dariusz Jacek Jak�bczak was born in Koszalin, Poland, on December 30, 1965. He graduated in mathematics (numerical methods and programming) from the University of Gdansk, Poland in 1990. He received the Ph.D. degree in 2007 in computer science from the Polish � Japanese Institute of Information Technology, Warsaw, Poland. From 1991 to 1994 he was a civilian programmer in the High Military School in Koszalin. He was a teacher of mathematics and computer science in the Private Economic School in Koszalin from 1995 to 1999. Since March 1998 he has worked in the Department of Electronics and Computer Science, Koszalin University of Technology, Poland and since October 2007 he has been an Assistant Professor in the Chair of Computer Science and Management in this department. His research interests connect mathematics with computer science and include computer vision, artificial intelligence, shape representation, curve interpolation, contour reconstruction and geometric modeling, numerical methods, probabilistic methods, game theory, operational research and discrete mathematics.

Paulo C. He graduated in both Chemistry (1976) and Physics (1977) at UnB. Professor Morais is member of the Brazilian Physical Society and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers – IEEE. He has served as referee for more than 50 technical journals, takes part of the Editorial Board of more than 15 technical journals and has conducted research on nanomaterials for over 40 years. He is known for his research in preparation, characterization and applications of nanosized materials (magnetic fluid, magnetoliposome, magnetic nanoemulsion, magnetic nanocapsule, magnetic nanofilm, magnetic nanocomposite, nanosized semiconductors, polymeric dots, carbon dots, and graphene quantum dots). With more than 500 published papers in peer reviewed journals, more than 13,000 citations, more than 200 international invited talks, and more than 15 filed patents. He had held various research and academic positions at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore during 1991, Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani during 1992-1994, REC (now NIT) Hamirpur H.P. during 1994-1998, Delhi College of Engineering- DCE, University of Delhi and Delhi Technological University-DTU. He is a Professor of Applied Physics and Chief Coordinator of TIFAC-Center of Relevance and Excellence in Fiber Optics and Optical Communications (Mission REACH Program of Technology Vision 2020, Govt. of India) at Delhi Technological University Delhi since October 2002.

Prof Jolly Xavier is presently an Associate Professor at the department of SeNSE, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. At IIT Delhi he also leads an innovative research group MiD-Q-MiNT (Miniaturized Devices with Quantum enhanced Micro/Nano Technologies) where his research focuses on design, development, analysis and implementation of advanced devices and technologies integrating Quantum sensing and imaging, Nanophotonics/plasmonics, Single molecule Biosensors, Integrated photonics, and Miniaturized electromechanical machines for biomedical and industrial applications. Prof Jolly Xavier received his PhD degree from IIT Delhi in 2012 where paert of his PhD research is carried out at Universty of Muenster, Germany under DAAD sandwich model fellowship. Prior to joining IIT Delhi as Associate Professor in 2021, Prof. Xavier was a Research Fellow/Lecturer in University of Exeter, UK, a Max Planck Postdoctoral Fellow at Max Planck Institute for the Science of Light (MPL), Erlangen Germany as well as a Postdoctoral Scientist at Helmholtz Zentrum Berlin (HZB), Germany.
